The Association of Fundraising Professionals Nebraska Chapter invites the community to gather for its National Philanthropy Day brunch on Monday, November 16, 2026, a morning dedicated to celebrating the people, organizations, and generous spirits that make Nebraska stronger.

The event will begin with brunch and a social hour, giving guests time to connect, catch up, and enjoy a little fellowship before the formal program begins. The awards ceremony will be emceed by Sandy Spady and will honor this year’s National Philanthropy Day recipients, shining a well-deserved spotlight on the good work happening across our state.

This year’s celebration will include a Mayoral Proclamation of Philanthropy Month by Omaha Mayor John Ewing, Jr., recognizing the vital role philanthropy plays in building a more caring, connected, and generous community. The morning will also feature keynote speaker John Levy, President of the William and Ruth Scott Family Foundation, whose leadership and perspective will help frame the importance of thoughtful giving and lasting community impact.

Honorees will receive awards created by local artist David Manzanares, adding a meaningful Nebraska-made touch to the celebration. More than a ceremony, the brunch is a chance to pause, say thank you, and recognize the quiet and not-so-quiet acts of generosity that move our communities forward.
