Whether your fundraising team is a one-person shop, or a full cast of fundraising characters, how can you identify the right strengths and talents to hire for your development team?

With development professionals typically moving to new jobs every 2-4 years, nonprofits are often in hiring mode and needing to find new employees with just the right blend of experience and skills for the development office.

Join AFP Nebraska to help understand how to identify the right candidates and how to ensure they will be the perfect "fit" for your development office.  Learn helpful tips on designing interview questions that will highlight key strengths you need in a development director, major gifts officer, or other fundraising professional. And, if you think you might find yourself being interviewed for a fundraising job in the future, this session will give insight into the interviewer’s perspective to prepare you for a future job interview.

Presenter Daisy Brayton is the Human Resources Director for the UNL Department of Athletics. She is an experienced human resources professional who has over 20 years of experience in both the public and private sector.  As a certified human resources professional and a Gallup certified talents and strengths coach she specializes in the areas of Training and Development, Recruitment and Selection, Classification/Compensation, Talent Management, and Strengths-based Development. 

This program will provide one hour of CFRE credit, pending approval.
