National Philanthropy Day is a special day set aside to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy – and our active philanthropic community – have made to our lives, our communities and our world.

For over five decades, the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) has been working to advance ethical and effective fundraising and support charities around the world that provide critical services to their communities. During that time, philanthropy has made many extraordinary contributions to the world and played a key role in improving lives in every conceivable way.

Each year, the Nebraska Chapter of AFP hosts the National Philanthropy Day (NPD) luncheon where we honor those individuals and companies who have played a key role in improving our own communities and state. These people set the bar for philanthropy in Nebraska and it is our pleasure to honor them.

A selection committee of AFP members and community leaders reviewed and selected the award winners. The philanthropic community is strong yet varied, and each individual voice is equally important on this day of recognition and reflection. With this in mind, AFP is offering additional opportunities for recognizing special individuals and organizations through sponsorship.
